Join us on February 13th as HGA architect Jim Moore gives us a hard-hat tour of the newly renovated Northrop Auditorium before it reopens to the public in April. The new Northrop was designed to fuel innovation and creativity. During the tour and presentation, we'll learn about the redesign and the challenges of revitalizing the space to make it more usable with cutting-edge technology while retaining the historical integrity of the building.

About the Architect

Architect Jim Moore is an Associate Vice President at the Minneapolis Office for HGA Architects and Engineers. Jim is LEED AP certified for green design, and specializes in arts, community, cultural and educational projects.  A graduate of Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, his work includes signature buildings on the university campuses of Saint John’s, Tulane, Brandeis, Harvard, and now University of Minnesota.  Jim is also an Adjunct Instructor at the College of Design, where his studios have focused on innovative design practices driven by his research in natural and artificial light.
