A UX competitive analysis helps user experience teams benchmark, generate ideas, learn about users, and stretch their thinking about design and UX strategy. A UX-centric competitive analysis is very different than what you’ll find outlined in any business book. Lyle will present an approach for conducting a UX competitive analysis even if your company or product “has no competitors”. You'll learn what a competitive analysis is, when to do one, how to do it, and what a good deliverable should include.

About the Presenter

Lyle Kantrovich has been designing and improving interactive products since 1996.  He started and managed UX teams at two Twin Cities companies and has consulted in industries as diverse as energy, medical devices, financial services, pharmaceutical, automotive, government, insurance and even food ingredients.  He was doing mobile design before the first iPod was released.  Yes, that says iPod, not iPhone.

Lyle has served on the board of directors for the international User Experience Professionals’ Association and helped lead the UXPA’s Minnesota Chapter in its early years.
